Cooking Merit Badge

With a 20-year proven track in the classroom, Culinary Kids Academy is proud to partner with multiple Scouts BSA Councils to help their Scouts fulfill their required Cooking Merit Badge.

Here at CKA, we know that academic lessons are more fun in hands-on cooking classes. For more information on our General Studies program, click here:

We’re taking this expertise to our Scouts BSA Program. In our sessions, we learn science, math, history, health, nutrition and more--all while doing real-time cooking workshops! And, through our experiential learning method, we can cover about 80% of the requirements for completing the Eagle Scout Cooking Merit Badge--everything except for practical first aid administration and the outdoors cooking requirements.

For Scouts looking to fully complete the merit badge, we are happy to coordinate with you in completing the outdoor portions of the badge. However, we will not cover that material in our sessions (since we’ll be meeting in the kitchen).

Scouts will also leave with increased confidence and skill in the kitchen, and having learned something new every single class. While we cannot require the use of any particular worksheet for Scouts taking our workshops, we used this resource in order to cross-reference the badge requirements in developing our program: http://usscouts.org/mb/worksheets/Cooking.pdf.
