I was born and raised in Sherman Oaks, CA. I have always had a passion for childhood education and cooking.

I trained professionally at Johnson & Wales Culinary Institute, have a Bachelor of Arts in Retail & Consumer Science, and holds a Masters in Elementary Education. By combining these skills, I developed a joyous and unique approach to bringing food and learning to together.

I have taught in many educational settings, including elementary level, early childhood education, and countless private and public cooking classes for adults and kids of all ages. I also worked as a food stylist for Burke Triolo, and authored a children’s cookbook for the Handstand Kids Cookbook company.

I definitely had a wonderful, diverse upbringing, raising a pet wolf and an alligator. I enjoy sharing some of these parenting quirks with my own two boys.
