This is great as a topping for yogurt, a morning cereal, or as a yummy snack any time of the day!
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
½ cup packed light brown sugar
¼ cup honey
¼ cup Maple Syrup
4 cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
1½ cup rice cereal, such as Rice Krispies
½ cup raisins
½ cup dried cranberries
1½ teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon Vanilla
Nuts are optional (pecan, almond, cashew or peanut)
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and combine with the brown sugar, honey and maple syrup and vanilla - Heat until mixture comes together and then remove from heat.
In another large bowl, combine oats with cereal, raisins, cranberries and cinnamon (and nuts if using them). Then fold heated sauce into dry mixture and stir.
Spread mixture onto a sprayed pan (so no sticking) and bake approximately 20 minutes, stirring every so often so it doesn’t burn. Depending on how crunchy you like it, you can bake it a bit longer. Once done, remove and let cool. Once cooled, mix up granola and put in a bag or container to store.
